Eligibility:
All classes at The Phillips Collection are open to members of the public and students from local universities on a space-available basis. There are no specific course pre-requisites, although students are expected to have some background in modern or contemporary art history, the studio arts, museum studies, or other relevant fields.
In your consideration of enrollment, realize that there is a CREDIT vs. NON-CREDIT section for each class. CREDIT is often chosen by students from DC-area universities taking our courses for transferrable academic credit, or by members of the public who want the option of utilizing the course for official academic credit or professional development at a future time. NON-CREDIT is typically chosen by students and members of the public who will be taking courses for personal edification, and will not require official academic credit. Please consider which designation best suits your needs when registering.
